Chinese Jian - Yasuhiro's mother greatly disapproves of her son's fondness for swords as wooden ones always fly out of nowhere in the Ishikawa household, in order to end this his mother decided to give him the Jian of his Chinese grandfather (father's side) in exchange for that he can only wield it outside and beyond her sight. The Jian is intricately carved with various ornaments.

Personality:

To start off, Yasuhiro is the type of person to go against all odds and then crash and burn at the mere hint of failure, but this doesn't mean he quits easily. He's the the one who would stand up, run and fight another day, rather than facing something head on and later regretting premature results.

As a person, Yasuhiro is polite as he is shown to address those who are older or with authority with honorifics and such. He's friendly and can get along with many types of people sans those who ticks him off, though it's rare that he ever considered someone an enemy or hated. He's very sincere and won't take promises for granted as this reminds him of a bitter past better left forgotten.

Lately, Yasuhiro has been acting a bit stoic and edgy, this is because he's been really worried about the disappearance of his father and he has been taking the pressure off by battling shadows or sparring with other students at the cost of getting hurt. Also, before the incident at the Akagi mansion, Yasuhiro's true personality was partially shown and revealed by one of his senpai, who now unfortunately transferred schools.

He's beginning to show his true side little by little as shown that he can be sadistic.

Strengths:
Speed and Agility. He's quick due to constant swimming and cycling.
Independence. Considers himself as living alone, since his mother is always at work.
A Tactician. He would rather run away and fight the problem another day rather than waste energy and resource.

He's not that good at cooking meals but great at making desserts and sweets.

History: (fixed revision)


Yasuhiro Ishikawa was born in Japan but at the age of 6 their family immigrated and lived in Beijing for about five years (due to his father’s work in the military) before returning to Japan again. He was raised to be disciplined and independent at a very young age by his father. He also became very interested in art at a young age due to his maternal grandfather’s rank as a national artist. During these times Yasuhiro was a boy nurtured with love and was full of aspirations.

Before he entered high school, his parents divorced due to psychological incapacity, this devastated Yasuhiro, but accepted this and moved on. From time to time, his father sends him back to China once a year just to see him but this too didn’t last long.

His father was announced MIA and all contact with him were severed. This severely broke Yasuhiro apart.

Just when things couldn’t get worse, at the start of his freshmen year, their authoritarian head master became their temporary substitute Literature teacher. This was the time when life was hell for their class as their headmaster clung to their necks with a vice-like grip. At first Yasuhiro didn't mind this treatment, but when all the insults and abuse went to him he stood up, but this ended up being the worst mistake of his life.

He soon received therapy to suppress the memory of what he has done, as this haunts him day in and out. This changed Yasuhiro for the better and his family moved from Osaka to Kirimori to start anew. He and his mother lived alone together although she drowned herself in work while Yasuhiro was to take care of himself. He decided to enroll in Higashimori seeing that it seems to be more stable and peaceful than his last school. Little did he know the dark secrets the school and city hides in the dark of night.



Trivia:

His first name would've been Chinese if his mother didn't force his father to change his mind. It was his younger sister who got the Chinese name instead.
He took his mother's surname after she and his father divorced. His name would've been Yasuhiro Zhao
He inherited his nearsightedness from his mother. It's a trait that runs in his mother's family.
He's left handed which is said to be the mark of being sinister.
The green cap he always once had was a parting gift from his father. He recently gave it to Cici for safekeeping.
His unusual style of sword-wielding is due to a combination of kendo and video game swordplay.
Is a big fan of the electronic music genre
Has a little sister in the care of his grandparents in China.
Has a distinct taste and skill for landscaping. People are usually surprised he's the one tending the foliage around their house.
Is a Star Wars nerd... (LOL)
Wants to become a military physician someday if things work out for him.
